UNITED AGAINST TERRORISM

SUPPORT FREEDOM

"Reunion Night Aftermath" by Roger Del

The morning of 316 was the most anxious moment because it would be the first time that we will be seeing each other again. At the reception were Tony N, Vilma A, and Edna A. As usual, as everyone said, the supposedly 8:00 am mass started at 9:30 am. Lesson, when in PI never be early to an appointment. Practice Filipino time and never allow your acquired American or European culture spoil the fun. Okay?

Of course, in the beginning medyo nagkakahiyaan pa, especially between the girls and boys kasi nga, imagine after 25 long years here we are together. It seems that the problem of most 4r's at first was how to strike conversions with 4r1's, when majority of the 4r's have never spoken a word or two to any of the 4r1's, except for a handful of tsikboys and mapapels during HS, like Francis Tikoy, Bryan (Kulangot pa rin), Danny Uwak, Andy S., Fabian, Rod, Joy Manok, and Tito. You should have heard a holy mass laced with Fay's off-beat responses to the priest and to the commentator followed by her ear-splitting laughters, grabe! (Katabi ko kasi siya). Of course, the choir did a splendid job of providing heart-warming mass songs and, take note, it had with it a former member of the "Apat na Sikat" and favorite of 4r1's, Arnold Gamboa. (Iiiikkk!). This was courtesy of the only virgin (?) 4r1, Ophie. Ok ba Ate Ophie? Ruth came a bit late in her JLo attire (still sexy, huh?). When somebody arrives late, the usual question was,"Sino s'ya?" Then after knowing, "Siya pala 'yon!". As for our supervising and student teachers, only Mr. de Guzman (Bungo himself) arrived in the morning. We presented to him a plaque of appreciation for being a part in molding us into what we are now. His acceptance speech was a tear-jerker just like in the recent Oscars. Sexy Ms. Gotangco made it up later at the Intercon.

After the mass, 'yan na...umaatikabong kwentuhan na. Pilar, Rod, and Ophie led the singing of the UST Hymn (the latter part of the lyrics dedicated to Noel V., he-he!). They also tried to vocalize the EHS Hymn but to no avail. Everyone have forgetten the lyrics of our hymn. Gano'n na pala tayo katanda? Six big round tables were prepared in the 4th floor lobby for the salu-salo. While everyone were having their brunch (breakfast and lunch na kasi alanganing oras na), kaliwa't kanan ang picture-taking with designated photographers and Alex J doing his own video and stills. Mukhang di naman mahilig sa kodakan ang 4r1 kaya nang isang beses na nagpakuha ang mga 4r2 sa kanilang mesa ay biglang nagsingitan ang 4r1. Lordprecious (Louie), I won't forget that kodakan na bigla kang kumandong sa 'kin. Not that you turned me on...muntik nang mabasag, dear. You even gyrated nga eh. Sakit!!! Again Fay's hard soprano voice was heard everywhere. Di yata naglo-lowbat 'tong si Fay.
