06/19/03 - Ed Lanuza Back in Manila!
Batchmates in Manila recently had a get-together welcoming Ed Lanuza's return to PI.
Teddy is not just visiting this time, but is staying there for good. According to a reliable source, Teddy took his early retirement and is planning to have a simple and peaceful life in his home province.

05/23/03 - Mike Fajardo Arrived in LA; Still "Unseen"!
A text message from Mike "Tisoy" Fajardo beeped my cellphone last May 18. It reads "pre c mike fajardo toh nsa sunland me now san ka now?" sent at 12:44 PM. I texed him back,trying to get infos on his whereabouts for us to meet but didn't get a response til after 4 days!(bagal pala mag-text ni Mike!) On his second text message,(sent May 22nd, 5:24 PM) he replied "punta me 2 daly cty tomm" He's gonna be spending his Memorial Day holiday weekend in Daly City(now known as Metro Manila)up northern CA in the Bay area. 05/10/03 - Buen Forms New Band; Recorded New MP3!
Buen Guido recently formed "Rubber Band"(nope, it's not a condom brand, pervert!...),-a San Francisco Bay Area-based cover band. The 4-month old band's objective? -to keep the people dancing! (yeah, I'm surprised too, didn't know Buen's into dancing nowadays!! di ba p'rehong kaliwa paa nun?! -just kidding Buen).
The band's repetoire includes cover versions of old 70's dance classics like Earth, Wind & Fire's "Let's Grove" & "September"; Chic's "Le Freak";Donna Summers' "Bad Girls", etc.;Soft Jams("Always","Wonderful Tonight","Stand By Me");Modern Rock Faves(Fuel's "Hemorrhage", Green Day's "When I Come Around".etc)and today's top hiphop/r&b hits
from artists like Aaliyah, Pink,& Janet Jackson.And yes! they play Latin and Filipino songs too! Buen also recorded an mp3 cover version of Fuel's "Hemorrhage",now available for your listening pleasure through their website. 10/25/02 - Vic "Bingo King" Caballa assaulted in California!
After so many consecutive wins in Bingo, Vic Caballa was attacked with a shower of beans from senior citizen competitors who have had enough of his winning streaks. Vic,now known as "LA Bingo King" is on his last week of his US visit and is staying at his mom's mobilehome in a senior citizens' community."Yan ang napala niya!, since ng dumating siya dito ay wala ng ginawa si Vic kungdi magbabad sa recreation room at mag-bingo!" commented his mom. There were also unconfirmed reports that Vic is dating a 79 yr.old blonde, and that he was just playing the game to impress her,who was a former "bingo queen" in the community. --- Paul Leonor
